One of the great things about having a lakefront house is not just the view of the serene water body in the distance but also the fantastic natural landscape that surrounds it. Nestled in a fairy-tale-like setting on the bank of in Italy this heavenly retreat leaves you mesmerized with its sights and sounds.
The house itself consists of three different structures with a central courtyard that is accessible from all of these units. Living areas are housed on the lower level with an open floor plan while the top floors contain the private quarters. Elegant wood surfaces and decor bring some much needed warmth into an interior that is dominated by white.
The in was given a sparkling new lease of life by the creative folks at Turett Collaborative Architects who transformed an old dreary structure into a breezy contemporary space. And much like the many previous transformations conjured up and brought to life by the firm one can see here a distinct style that marries form and functionality in an eloquent fashion!
Architects from chose concrete as they felt that its raw appeal was more in tune with the original façade of the house. The vertical openings of the extension are crafted to match the existing style of the house while warm wooden tones and a neutral color palette grace the home indoors.
